In Autumn 2022 I had the absolute pleasure of working on this project Ancestral Ascension, as part of the Henry Moore Institute community project exploring Lungiswa Gqunta's 2022 exhibition Sleep In Witness.
I worked alongside ceramicist Sandra Whyles, and Engagement Curator for the Institute Alison Smith, to help facilitate the creation of this sculptural piece by participants brought together through Chapel Town Arts.
The project ran over eight weeks culminating in a sculptural response artwork that, when completed, was on display from November 2022 until February 2023 in the Foyer of the Henry Moore Institute gallery Leeds.
